MARCH MEMORIES

Wayne & I joined other "snowbirds" along with the full timers in the Sun City West Ward & got our picture taken for their ward directory, for doing so we were given a free 8 x 10! I am still battling skin rashes that come & go. We really enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Red Lobster using Christal & Dalton's Christmas gift card. Attended the March Vender's Day which is held once a month when all the snowbirds are around to spend their money. Ha Ha. Got all the motor home's blinds repaired and cleaned. Played Hand & Foot (card game) in friend's Chuck & Vicky's Arizona room. Wayne still working on the golf cart. Bought a 3 wheeled bike with a large basket between the back tires from the 1st phase garage sale here in the resort which is a yearly event. Would you believe O'Malley has already had a ride in it because his carrier (used to transport him to vet's appointments) fit in the basket! Ate dinner in friend's Glenn & Cathy's park model & learned a new card game called "Wizard". Had Pearson family over for dinner one night & Grandpa took them all for rides in the golf cart. Visited our friend Chuck in the Del Webb Hospital. Spent an afternoon and evening at the Hanchett home. Got our FINISHED and APPROVED Arizona Room Plans finally! Attended Sunday night Family Home Evenings with our L.D.S. Snowbird friends in the resort. One evening we played the L.D.S. Seek Game and on the last Sunday in March we ate a wonderful dinner along with 34 other snowbirds. Many will be leaving for Utah, Idaho, California, and possibly Washington soon. Ate a delicious pot roast dinner at the Pearson's home then watched Camden play in a T Ball game. Then we were treated to an ice cream cone at Baskin Robbins. Had the Hanchett family over for dinner and Grandpa took all of them for rides in the golf cart. Sarah, Jake & Zach walked with me to our small clubhouse near our lot where we played table tennis and to my surprise Jake was pretty good at it. Met Denise and family (later Donna and family) at the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium staying for 6 and 1/2 hours. We ate lunch and had a great time. Wayne had to leave early for a genealogy club meeting where he was making a presentation. Wayne helped friends Chuck & Vicky and Ralph & Linda with their computer problems. Enjoyed a "Block Party" in our teardrop section of the resort with all our neighbors. Afterwards we played Hand & Foot (card game) with the L.D.S. Card Club group. Saw a really funny Melodrama put on by the Happy Trails Theatre Club. It was so interesting because we were encouraged to hoot and holler and boo the players. I loved it. Watched the Hanchett kids jump into their cold pool then play in the Jacuzzi one day of spring break, then ate a very tender BBQ pork loin! It was soooo good. Ate lunch several times in the chuck wagon here in the resort. Rode my 3 wheeled bike almost each evening before dusk. My legs are getting stronger, I think. Got my 2nd haircut in the resort by Bev. Was treated to a free "all you can eat wings" at a restaurant with Denise & family and Jesse's parents who were visiting them. It was nice seeing Linda and Jesse. Watched Jake play in a flag football game which began at 7 o'clock in the evening! Saw a bunny get his (or her) life snuffed out by a truck right in front of me on a bike ride Monday night. I had to sit for several minutes before I could resume my ride having to ride past it. The sound of it happening was the worst. It was decapitated. So awful! Such a sad thing to happen. Wrote this final copy sitting in the main laundry while our 3 loads were washing and drying. This laundry room has 20 washing machines, 2 hand sinks, 2 ironing boards, 2 irons and 19 dryers. A soft drink dispenser and money changer are also in the room. NOTE: I HAVE MORE PHOTOS, I WILL HAVE DONNA HELP ME OUT NEXT TIME I GO TO THEIR HOME AS I AM NOT DOING A VERY GOOD JOB OF IT AND DON'T WANT TO MESS THIS UP ANY MORE THAN I HAVE.

FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

Wayne and I, along with the Pearson family, gathered at the Hanchett home on Super Bowl Sunday where we also celebrated "Wayne's 66th birthday"!An awful noise turned out to be the golf cart had fallen off the supports. Wayne was not underneath, thank goodness! But that day he did get a finger cut and a mark on the side of his head from bumping a table (above him) then a tool graised his head. Ouch! We met Donna, Sarah and Luke at our Town Center, ate lunch in the chuck wagon then I went home with her. Wayne came later after his computer club meeting. Donna posted pictures on my blog. Went to the monthly Vender's Day here in Happy Trails. Had our friends Glen and Cathy Theobald over for dinner and after we played a card game called Hand and Foot. Went to a Vintage Golf Cart Show. With other Oregonians we enjoyed the Oregon State Dinner, a yearly event for us snow birders. Wayne connected a converter box for the motor home bedroom t.v. Ate dinner at the Hanchett home and Donna put MORE pictures on my blog. Got my 1st hair cut in 4 months from Bev right here in the resort for only $10.00. What a deal, huh? Doing pretty well walking almost every evening. Watched Sarah in her swim class. She smiled the whole time. Celebrated 45 years of marriage with Jesse and Denise (who also have a Valentine's anniversary) at BJ's Restaurant - their treat! We had a wonderful time. Watched Zach at his soccer game. Went to a Wood Carver's Show at another R.V. Resort. Wayne presented the DVD "Journey of Faith" to our Sunday night Family Home Evening fellow L.D.S. snow birders. His allergies got the better of him, laying him low for a couple of days. O'Malley's comprehensive exam showed us his heart murmur is worse. :( Ate lunch a few times at the Chuck Wagon here in the resort, and a couple of dinners. Wayne and I sang with the "Happy Trails Ensemble" in Sacrament Meeting. A new bishopric was sustained that same Sunday. I weeded our lot while Wayne sanded, sprayed on a primer on the golf cart, waited a day and then sprayed the 1st coat of paint on. We were happy to be able to celebrate early, Sarah's 4th birthday, along with the Pearson family the last day of February. Before dinner Mike, Jesse and Jake, Zach, Britton, Tristan, and Camden went up the mountain for a hike. Denise, Donna, Sarah and Grandma went for a shorter hike, while Grandpa tended Luke who slept in the swing while we were gone! Sarah's cute ice cream birthday cake, was delicious. Today is March 1st. WHERE
HAS THE TIME GONE?
